THE PROGRAM

The Shadow Her program consists of a schedule of events and learning sessions over a six-month time period. All successful applicants must agree to participation for all dates and times.

THE PROGRAM WILL BE CONSISTING OF THE FOLLOWING:

FINANCE

Maximize the value of your business through effective financial planning, resource management, and financial growth. Navigating your business decisions involves identifying potential risks, projecting profitability and understanding your finances on a micro and macro level. A strong financial foundation is essential in achieving an increase in revenue and profit margins.

OPERATIONS & HUMAN RESOURCES

Understanding the people, systems, equipment, and processes needed to make your organization function efficiently is a critical piece as you scale your business. Your company is truly only as great as the people who embody the mission and values of your organization and help drive the success of your business. How are YOU supporting your people? Gain greater insights with a strategic approach to evaluate processes and workflows and ensure you’re operating with as little friction as possible.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Sales plays an essential role in cultivating relationships and establishing trust with your customers. Establishing an efficient sales process is critical to bringing in new business, maximizing services and enhancing the value for all customers. A strong sales team identifies opportunities to build lasting partnerships using various strategies and increasing business growth.

MARKETING

Marketing is an essential driver in promoting your services or product, your vision, values and most importantly your brand. A dynamic and creative marketing team collaborates with sales and operations to meet the needs of your target market. Establishing your marketing strategy and integrating it into your business plan will help create and maintain demand. Most will make a good first impression, but only a few truly make a lasting impression.

STRATEGY

A business strategy involves all the decisions taken, and actions undertaken for achieving the larger vision of the business. Knowing what your business strategy is and how to execute it properly can drive your company’s success and allow you to become industry leaders. Strategy is not the consequence of planning, but the proactive starting point which therein creates your guiding principles.

Michelle Venema was assigned as my mentor and has become a true friend and such an incredible source of support and expertise as we manage our new and exciting growth. Even after my "graduation," the team at Shadow Her has been walking with me every step of the way, providing resources for solving challenges and being some of the loudest cheerleaders of our "wins." On the first day of Shadow Her, I learned that only 3% of businesses reach the $1 million mark, and for women-led businesses, it's 1%. What seemed impossible just a short time ago, is well within reach!
